We like to begin each project with a kick off meeting. This is to ensure:

  • The scope of the work is clear for both sides
  • The schedule is outlined, with clearly defined milestones, number of revisions & a delivery date
  • Payment terms are agreed to

We’ll also cover tools we use to communicate with you & how we share files, ensuring you’re a part of the entire process along the way.

Our first job is to identify your pain points & figure out what exactly you feel is preventing you from progressing in your business or career.

We also identify goals you have for the next month, six months, one year & 5 years….& this is where the fun starts.

We then work with you, hand in hand to create a plan to get you from where you are to where you want to be at the different intervals.

We can quote your needs & jobs a few different ways:

  • Fixed Price - good for a specific project that’s well defined
  • Hourly to Fixed Price - good for a project that isn’t well defined yet but will be over time
  • Hourly not to exceed - best for one or numerous tasks with a cap on each one
  • Hourly - best for long term relationships - one constant rate for everything we do

Because the scope of work, deadlines & skills needed can vary dramatically for each project/job, we can’t provide any typical prices. However, please Contact us & we’ll be happy to discuss your needs & provide a detailed proposal.

Design Software Training

This is evaluated on a case by case basis as there are numerous variables such as frequency & duration of the sessions(s), how much you use the software when not meeting with us & how in depth into the Program you want to go. To get a working knowledge usually takes around 5-6 hours while a more in depth knowledge can range from 12-14. There are 2 key things you can do to speed this timeline up & ensure success:

  • Use the software in between our sessions. Play around, explore & make mistakes…don’t worry, we’ll fix everything during your next meeting.
  • Keep a notepad nearby & as questions come up, write them down. We always like to recap the previous session before getting into the next one to ensure concepts are fully understood.

Through our experience in hundreds of sessions & students, we’ve found that the ideal length is between 1-2 hours long. This gives the best mix of thoroughly learning new topics while avoiding the burnt out feeling that long classes are notorious for.

Unlike a lot of teachers who talk your ear off for hours on end, we provide training that is much more interactive & catered to your needs. We explain & go through the details of a certain task/topic & then you complete them under our helpful watch.

There’s no substitution for you working through the steps & completing the work yourself. We can also assign “homework” assignments in between meetings to make sure the concepts you learned aren’t forgotten.

We do ask that sessions last a minimum of 30 minutes.

Simple, by the hour. Once in a while, we’ll have to do some legwork to prepare for sessions. We will pre-clear this time beforehand so our time spent is as clear as possible. As far as our rates are concerned, they vary based on topic, how much time we think will be needed, & other factors. Contact us so we can learn more & provide a detailed price.

Agreement & payments

You mean outside of simple, easy to understand & transparent? Unless agreed to otherwise, we send you an itemized invoice at the end of each month with each task, the date it took place on, the hours spent & corresponding rate. No fuss, no muss.

This will be spelled out in each individual Statement of Work. As a general guideline, we typically ask for a 25% deposit for fixed price work or a 2-hour deposit for hourly work.

We use a wide range of apps & services such as PayPal, Venmo, & Square. Business & personal checks are accepted as well. This is typically discussed ahead of time in the Statement of Work to ensure we’re on the same page.

Unfortunately, we do not.

Yes! We’ve amassed a large amount of standard & custom drawing elements & are always expanding our library. We’re happy to develop new custom components for your project as well.

We love referrals from our existing clients. We believe our work speaks for itself & want to reward our clients for singing our praises.

We offer a one-time $100 credit to any existing client when a new referred client signs up for at least 3 hours worth of work with us. This is a per client referral so the more potential clients you send our way, the greater your reward.
